Aisha Alhassan Strips APC Secretariat Of Her Donated Items
Furniture and fittings donated by the erstwhile minister of women affairs and social development Aisha Alhassan to the All Progressives Congress, APC in Taraba State have been moved out of the state secretariat of the party to her new party, United Democratic Party, UDP.
Though Alhassan said she was not inclined to move the property, but she said she caved in after her supporters insisted on moving the property away from the APC state secretariat.
Among the items were furniture, air conditioners, computers and related accessories.
She said that there was nothing wrong in the action saying that since she was moving, her properties she donated to her former party should also move. According to her she bought the properties to donate to her former party and that she could not stop her supporters from moving the properties because of the injustice done to her.
The APC had stopped her from contesting for the governorship ticket of the party on the claim that she had double loyalty.
The claim by the national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole mainly arose from her strong loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
