Ambode Meets Sanwo-Olu Finally

For the first time since the two men engaged in a public fight for the Lagos State All Progressives Congress, APC governorship ticket earlier in October, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu met openly in Lagos on Tuesday.

They met at the meeting of the Governors Advisory Council, GAC which took place in the old State House, Marina.

Sanwo-Olu backed by the majority of the members of the GAC had triumphed in the contest forcing Governor Ambode to retreat and embrace the humble pie of being the only incumbent governor on the platform of the APC to be denied a return ticket.

The meeting came a day after the campaign outfits of the two men were collapsed to form the Independent Campaign Group, ICG, which is expected to be used in projecting the second term campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari and the governorship campaign of Mr. Sanwo-Olu.
