Aisha Buhari Says Her Husband Is No Bigot

First Lady Aisha Buhari on Saturday dismissed talks of her husband being a sectional leader as she charged Nigerians to stay back and protect their votes next Saturday.

She spoke at a Women and Youths Rally organized by the Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team of the All Progressives Congress, APC

Speaking at the Eagles Square venue of the rally, Mrs. Aisha Buhari who was represented by the wife of the vice-president, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo said:

“Our president us for everybody whether men, women or youth. Our president is for the whole of Nigeria. There is no discrimination.

“Only yesterday, a train left Lagos and arrived in Abeokuta. We have not seen that in a long while. Buhari has shown that he is worthy of our trust and APC going to the next level means that Nigerians are also going to the next level”, she declared.

Charging the youths to stay back to protect their votes, she said:

“After you have voted, you must not go back and sleep. You must wait for your votes to be counted and then you write it down.”

Among dignitaries at the rally were the Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, wives of the governors of Ondo, Ogun, Nasarawa and Borno, respectively Betty Akeredolu, Olufunsho Amosun, Mairo Al-Makura and Nana Shettima.

Former military governor of Lagos State, Brig-Gen. Buba Marwa and former Inspector General of Police, Abba Suleiman were also present at the event.
