Kaduna philanthropist and politician, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman (Sardaunan Badarawa) has commended the creation of three new ministries, under the new governance initiative of Governor Nasir El-Rufai describing it as well thought out and insightful.
Responding to the announcement of the initiative made by Mr Samuel Aruwan, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor (Media & Publicity), he said it has further confirmed Elrufai’s commitment to lifting the state to better and higher levels.
Making the commendation while speaking to newsmen in Abuja, he said the new governance structure announced for the second-term of Malam El-Rufai is a giant step towards redirecting the way of doing things by making maximum use of the opportunities offered by modernity.
“In particular, I wish to celebrate the creation of the three new ministries of Business, Innovation and Technology, Housing and Urban Development and Internal Security and Home Affairs as a commendable pioneer move in the history of Kaduna state.
“I appreciate the Governor’s ingenuity in the introduction of the ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology to coordinate the development of skills, business, trade and manufacturing in the state, to take over the technology portfolio from the Ministry of Education and to encourage the development of the digital ecosystem while promoting tourism and regulating tourism facilities in the state.
“The creation of the Housing & Urban Development Ministry is also another commendable move to ensure the construction and maintenance of public buildings as well as promote the expansion of the housing stock in the state and ensure the enforcement of development control regulations, implementation of urban planning and country planning policies and urban renewal programmes in the state.
“Also worthy of celebration is the creation of Internal Security and Home Affairs Ministry to coordinate internal security matters to enhance the state government’s capacity to address security challenges,” Sardaunan Badarawa stressed.
