Two 2015 Mistakes Buhari Must Not Repeat In 2019 – Shehu Sani

President Muhammadu Buhari must not repeat the mistake of 2015 in delaying his appointments and excluding the Southeast and South-South Senator Shehu Sani has warned.

Senator Sani who represented the Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the Senate between 2015 and 2019 warned that repeating the mistake of 2015 will contribute to “feeding the anarchy, feeding the secessionists, feeding the merchant of crisis in this country”.

Sani spoke to correspondents on the sidelines of a conference with the theme, “Niger Open Forum,” last weekend.

“I think he should not repeat the mistake of 2015, the most important thing for him now is to pick his cabinet immediately and get the ground running.”

 “If you exclude the Eastern or the South-South part of the country, or even the North-Central part of Nigeria because they didn’t vote for you, you are simply feeding the anarchy, feeding the secessionists, feeding the merchant of crisis in this country.

“It is expected that when you win election, you are for everybody. We have a pattern in this country where people are excluded and marginalised out of government on the basis that their ethnic or religious groups did not vote for the government in power, that is very dangerous things to do. After election, you need a country to rule.”
