Akwa Ibom: Udom Returns 18 Commissioners In Second Term Cabinet

Governor Udom Emmanuel has forwarded the names of 19 commissioners-designate and 2 Special Advisers to the House of Assembly for scrutiny and confirmation. 18 of the 19 nominees served in the cabinet that was dissolved at the end of the first term.

The Clerk of the Assembly,  Mrs. Mandu Umoren, read the governor’s letter containing the names and request for legislative approval to constitute the state executive at during Tuesday’s  plenary.

Mrs Umoren listed the commissioners- designate to includ; Mr. Akan Okon, Arch. Ime Ekpo, Mr. Nse Essien, Barr Uwemedimo Nwoko, Sir Monday Uko and Mr. Linus Nkan.

Others are Rt Hon Okpulupum Etteh, Akparawa Ephraim Inyaneyen, Barr Ekong Sampson, Mr. Charles Udoh, Hon Orman Esin, Hon Iniobong Essien, Dr Dominic Ukpong, Dr. Gloria Edet, Hon Udo Ekpenyong, Hon. Prince Ukpong Akpabio, Rt. Hon Uno Etim, Hon Rapheal Bassey, Mr. Victor Bassey

Special Advisers include: Hon Sunny Ibuot, Mr Ekemini Umoh.

The Speaker, Rt Hon Aniekan Bassey  forwarded the list to House Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Public Petition for screening of the nominees.

The committee is expected to report back to the House within one week.
