Sex Toy Shop Fight: Senate, Police Probe Senator Abbo

The Senate has constituted a seven-man committee to probe the conduct of Senator Elisha Abbo in a sex toy shop in Abuja.
The Senate investigation came as GWG learnt that the police has also ordered an investigation into the matter. The police inquiry may have been especially prompted by the conduct of the senator’s orderly who was involved in assaulting the nursing mother at the sex toy shop.
Senator Abbo, PDP, Adamawa North has since Tuesday been the focus of a social media storm after a video of him brutalizing a nursing mother staff of a sex toy shop in Abuja. He has claimed that the incident happened before his inauguration as a senator.
The Senate investigation followed a motion brought by Senator Uba Sani (APC, Kaduna Central) upon Order 15 on Wednesday. Senator Sani said the conduct of the senator as shown on social media has not only tarnished the image of the Senate but his own reputation.
The seven man committee chaired by Senator Sam Egwu comprises Senators Oluremi Tinubu, Stella Odua, Matthew Urhohigde among others.
The committee is to submit its report within two weeks.
Police To Investigate Too
Meanwhile, the Police has ordered an investigation into the matter. The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu it was gathered ordered the investigation following the involvement of the police orderly of the senator in the brutalization of the shop worker.
