BREAKING: Police To Arraign Sex-Toy Shop Assault Senator

The Police in Abuja is set to arraign Senator Elisha Abbo, the lawmaker at the centre of the assault of an assistant in a sex toy shop video, today, Monday.

He is to be arraigned in a Zuba Magistrates’ Court, Abuja, on a one count charge of assault.

The arraignment follows a national uproar that followed the circulation of the video with a petition by activists for the arraignment of the lawmaker.

Remarkably, Senator Abbo had made profuse apologies over the incident to both his victim and Nigerians. His apology it was gathered is one of the facts that may now be presented as evidence against him.

The police is also expected to present witnesses who were present at the scene of the assault and the original video evidence of the assault in the prosecution against the senator.
