Kaduna Assembly Drops Commissioner-Nominee Who Criticised El-Rufai On Social Media
The evil that men do live after them – House Spokesman

A commissioner nominee who in the past taunted Governor Nasir El-Rufai as “claiming to be more intelligent than intelligence” was on Thursday dropped by the Kaduna State House of Assembly for his past social media criticisms of the governor.
Aliyu Abubakar was the commissioner nominee for the agriculture portfolio from Kaura Local Government Area of the state.
Abubakar had in his past social media postings also derided some of the El-Rufai cardinal programmes including the teacher’s certification examinations.
Speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Aminu Shagali on Thursday presented the nominee with some of his taunts of El-Rufai as he faced the House of Assembly screening.
“Making Kaduna State great again; it is a deceptive cliche used by politicians to deceive the masses,” the Speaker quoted him to have posted.
“You also said El-Rufai must learn to tackle issues with human face, you also said you are an advocate of change that goes to the root and cause not only the symptom.
“You also said in the same post, stop comparing me with El-Rufai who thinks he is more intelligent than intelligence itself.
It was gathered that the unearthing of the social media postings also affected support for his nomination in the El-Rufai administration as government officials appeared not to push for his nomination.
His rejection has also been received with excitement in his Local Government Area where All Progressives Congress, APC partisans had been sullen that a critic of the governor had been nominated at the expense of loyal party supporters of the governor.
Speaking to newsmen after the screening, the Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Alhaji Tanimu Musa said the nominee was rejected because of his criticism of the present administration.
He said: “The evil that men do live even after them, Jaafaru has been a critic of this administration on social media.
“He has been criticizing the government, so why did he want to work with the government you have been criticizing,” Musa said.
