COZA: CAN Gives Strong Backing To Fatoyinbo: God Using You Differently (Video)

The Christian Association of Nigeria in the North Central Zone has thrown its support behind the embattled global senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, Biodun Fatoyinbo saying he has been set up by The Almighty to do things differently.

The assertion was made during a solidarity message by the Christian body delivered by the pair of the chairman of the North Central Zone of CAN, Rev. Israel Akanji, and FCT Chapter, Rev. Jonah Samson.

The two men said they were in the church to show solidarity with the church in the light of developments. They, however, did not mention the rash of allegations of sexual impropriety including at least two rape allegations that have been levelled against the founder of COZA, Fatoyinbo.

The two men who took turns to exhort the congregation laced their visit to the love that the Christian should show to fellow Christians.

Samson who first exhorted after the opening introduction by Akanji laced his greeting with the issue of redemption drawn from Paul’s letter to the Colossians was followed by Akanji who said the visit was in appreciation of the love of God.

Drawing analogy from the parable of the Good Samaritan as was narrated by Jesus, The Christ, he said it was the duty of Christians everywhere to uphold anyone that may have been bruised or wounded on the way.

“In the journey of life we can find ourselves wounded bleeding and dying, the people we expect to come and help us are the ones who will walk away.

“If anything happens to COZA church it happens to the body of Christ in Nigeria. We are all part of the body of Christ. We thank God that this church is not doing things the way we are doing things. You don’t have to do things the way some of us are doing things.”

Noting that there were different approaches to propagating the gospel, he said that David took the unconventional approach of doing away with conventional armour, he said:

“You don’t have to use the approach of another person.”

“We are here to let you know that we are with you in prayers, our pastor here will continue to proclaim the word of God and want to let you know that you are not alone, you have many brothers and sisters who are praying for you.

“God has set the COZA Church up for our generation to do things differently and our goal is the victory into the kingdom of God and I pray that nothing, nothing will bring this church down in the name of God.”
