Oshiomhole Knows The Role Of Jobbers In Rift With Obaseki – Ojezua, Edo APC Chairman
By Ayodele Oluwafemi
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has discovered the ulterior motives of political jobbers in the reported feud between him and Governor Godwin Obaseki, the chairman of the state chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Anselm Ojezua has said.
Speaking to newsmen in Lagos over the weekend said the trouble in the state was the effort of certain political elements in the state who were profiting from the feud between the incumbent governor and his predecessor.
“It is just that a third party is trying to create rift between our national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole and Governor Obaseki.
“But the national chairman of the party has discovered the ulterior motives of the political jobbers going to him in Abuja to spread all sorts of falsehood that the governor had dumped the blueprint drafted to make Edo State attractive for investments in order to rubbish Oshiomhole’s regime; or that the governor is against his people or that the party is bound to lose the next election if the governor is allowed to continue in that direction. “Our national chairman now knows better and we are talking; we are back to where we ought to have started,” he said
Ojezua noted that certain political elements in the state who want to own and control the state resources for their selfish interest at the expense of the people are behind the rumoured political rift between Obaseki and Oshiomole.
Commenting on the Edo Assembly crisis, the state chairman asserted that “no invasion will take place in the state as Edo is not a colony of the National Assembly but a sovereign part of Nigeria,” while noting that no one is stopping the remaining 12 lawmakers-elect from inauguration.
