August 5 Protest: DSS Picks Sowore In Early Morning Raid

The Department of State Services has arrested the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore in his apartment in Lagos in the early hours of Saturday.

According to his online medium, Sahara Reporters, DSS operatives arrested Sowore in the early hours of Saturday at about 1.25 a.m.
The arrest of Sowore by DSS has generated several reactions on TwitterNG with the hash tag #FreeSowore.
As many Nigerians are calling for his immediate release. It is believed that the arrest of Sowore could be connected to the August 5th revolution protest planned by Sowore.
