DEPUTY Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari can sleep with his two eyes closed as the Ahmad Lawan Senate will not disturb his peace unlike the Bukola Saraki Senate.

Omo-Agege who is the senator representing Delta Central senatorial district of Delta State, made the revelation as he urged the Urhobo nation to thank the president for his love for them saying that the president stood his ground to ensure his emergence as Deputy President of the Senate.

Omo-Agege spoke on Thursday at his country home in Orogun, Ughelli North local government area during a reception in his honour by his kinsmen

The lawmaker stated that the leadership of the Senate would create an enabling environment to realise the content of the “Next Level” agenda of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

According to him, President Buhari could now sleep without fear with the Ahmed Lawan-led leadership as Senate President.

He said: “In my position as DSP working with the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, the least we owe Buhari is to create an enabling environment so that the content of the Next Level agenda that all of us campaigned for will be realised.

Omo-Agege Wants Urhobo To Appreciate Buhari

“The era when president was being threatened with removal is over. He can now sleep with his two eyes closed.”

Omo-Agege urged the people of Delta to thank President Buhari for the role he played in his emergence as the DSP.

He also urged the people to thank all the APC governors and all the senators in the elections.

“President Buhari loves Urhobo and Delta, he gave us a Minister and despite all odds Buhari stood his ground to ensure that I become the DSP.

“South-South region has not produced deputy Senate President since 1999 but all of this was possible because of President Buhari

“We should thank and support his government,” he said.

It was the first time Omo-Agege would be returning home since his re-election as senator representing Delta Central senatorial district and subsequent elevation as Deputy Senate President of the 9th Senate.
