BREAKING: Court Grants DSS Right To Hold Sowore For 45 Days

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday morning granted the Department of State Services, DSS the right to detain RevolutionNow leader, Omoyele Sowore for 45 days.
The court, however, rejected the demand of the DSS acting on behalf of the Federal Government to hold the publisher of Saharareporters for the 90 days as demanded by the Federal Government.
The court presided over by Justice Taiwo Taiwo in granting the application of the DSS said the detention days would start to count from the date of the court’s declaration on Thursday.
Sowore was picked up by the Federal Government last weekend ahead of his mobilization for last Monday’s nationwide demonstrations against perceived failures of the Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government.

Meanwhile, Sowore’s lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana has dared the DSS to charge him to court vowing to bring as witnesses leaders of the APC who had in the past used the same revolutionary words as Sowore.
