Igbo Youths Plot Political Alignment With North

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council says it has concluded plans to realign with the Northern stakeholders in order to dislodge the mutual suspicion and misunderstanding between the two regions.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth noted that it is necessary to build mutual understanding and confidence with the Northern stakeholders ahead of the 2023 Presidential elections without political affiliations, stressing that the old Northern and Eastern Region were partners in progress before enmity erupted between the two regions.

Appraising the need for Igbo presidency, the group in a statement, signed by its President General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, noted that “A Nigeria President of Igbo stock will largely favour the North with huge dividends of democracy as currently witnessed in the huge dividends of democracy being harvested by Southwest leaders for Yoruba land in President Buhari regime.”

Part of the statement reads: “Old Eastern Region alliance with the North through proper understanding and cooperation, will produce One of the present Southeast Governors  and one present Northern Governor,or former Vice President or former Governor or Senator depending the choice of the North , together will Pair ahead of 2023.

“We are extending hands of friendship with the Coalition of Northern groups and Arewa Youth leaders, for to build a United front and alliance that will hold the two regions together as partnership, as we had in 1960s, History will always repeat itself, as Traditional partners in progress, a Nigeria President of Igbo stock will largely favour the North with huge dividends of democracy as currently witnessed in the huge dividends of democracy being harvested by Southwest leaders for Yoruba land in President Buhari regime.”
