Another Nigerian in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI watchlist of criminal Nigerians has been apprehended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Emmanuel Adedeji Oluwatosin, who is on the wanted list of the FBI was apprehended in Kaduna and paraded by the zonal head of the agency, Abdullahi Lawal, in Sokoto.

The EFCC revealed that at least N1.4 billion generated through fraud had been funneled through his accounts with at least N70 million channeled into different investment schemes.

Recovered from him in his Kaduna residence were tw cars; Mercedes Benz E550, Mercedes Benz C450, an  IPhone, laptops, modem and SIM cards.

Giving an insight into the modus operandi of Lawal and his accomplices who he said are based in Nigeria and abroad, he said that they acquire Retirement Account Information (RAI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of several persons which are fraudulently used to wire funds into newly created business bank accounts related to the fraudulently created business. 

The money realized from the scheme he said were converted into crypto currency.
