Alaibe Tells Supporters To Await Major News In 48 Hours

Runner up in the Bayelsa State governorship primaries, Timi Alaibe has asked supporters to give him the next 48 hours to give them his bearing as he Wednesday dismissed reports of his defection from the  People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

In a statement, Professor Seiyefa Brisibe, the administrative secretary of the campaign organization said Chief Alaibe still remains a loyal member of the PDP and has not joined any political party, despite pressures and offers of opportunity by other political groups. 

The statement apologized to supporters of the Alaibe Campaign organization for the silence over their principal’s next line of action, giving room to speculations planted in the media allegedly by those who masterminded the injustice that characterized the process of the PDP primaries.

It thanked the supporters and the people of Bayelsa State for their unprecedented support, peaceful conduct and patience since the outcome of the party’s primaries of September 3, insisting that the action of a handful of selfish people cannot go unchallenged.

Professor Brisibe assured the people of Bayelsa State that following wide consultations, the group would take steps that would be beneficial to the entire people of the state, stating that the decision of the group would be made public within the next forty-eight hours.
