Bayelsa: Another PDP Chieftain Ditches Dickson For APC

A frontline member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and member of the Bayelsa State Government Properties and Land Recovery Committee, Deacon Tari Agai has resigned his appointment from the Restoration Government.

Giving reasons for his resignation in a letter dated 20th of September 2019, which he forwarded to the Governor of Bayelsa, Seriake Dickson, through the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government, Agai who is the immediate past spokesman of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC Central Zone and currently the National Coordinator, Ijaw Youth Christian Fellowship IYCF, said his resignation was sequel to the mass defection of the Otita Transformation Movement also known as Otita Force Worldwide, from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP  to the All Progress Congress, APC.

Agai who is the Director of Media, Otita Force Worldwide, also revealed that all members of the group who are political appointees of the Restoration Government have resigned their appointments to enable them take Bayelsa State to the next level.

While thanking Governor Dickson for finding him worthy to serve in the Restoration Government, Deacon Agai said there was no ill-will behind his resignation, saying it was mainly in the quest to make Bayelsa sweet again with Honorable David Lyon, the APC governorship candidate.

He, however, wished Governor Dickson well after his tenure.
