Sowore Rejects Buhari's Apology, Lists His 'Sins'

By Ayodele Oluwafemi

The Federal High Court, Abuja Division, has warned the Director-General of the State Security Service (SSS), Yusuf Bichi that he risks jail term over his refusal to release civic rights activist, Omoyele Sowore.

Reacting to the failure of SSS to release Sowore after the court ruled for his release, the court warned the SSS boss against contempt of court, noting it is liable of imprisonment.

In a copy of the court order dated September 26, Thursday, the court ordered the SSS to release Mr Sowore  or it would be guilty of contempt and liable to be committed to prison.

“Take notice that unless you obey the order of the Federal High Court, Abuja Division delivered on September 24 which ordered you to release the applicant, you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison,” the letter reads

It was gathered that Sowore had met his bail conditions since Wednesday and the SSS has been notified. The service, however, claims not to have been notified.
