IPOB’s media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful in a statement obtained by GWG affirmed that the response of the Japanese authorities has encouraged the group and people of Biafra in its ambitions.

He said:

“We must thank Japanese government and people for accommodation Biafrans and  encouragements to Biafran people within the Japanese territory, an example other Asian countries are emulating.

“We are also satisfied that Biafrans across the far eastern part of the world have publicly pledged their moral and material support for Biafra restoration as piloted by IPOB and their promise to do all they can to restore Biafra at the earliest possible opportunity by Gods willing.

“As our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his team continue the tour of Japan and other Asian continent with emphasis on diplomatic overtures and rallying the Biafran base to restore  Biafra within the shortest possible time, we the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, commend the IPOB family in Japan for the rousing welcome and support given to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, during the town-hall meeting held in Nagoya and Tokyo Japan.

“With this tour, Biafrans across Japan have been re energized with the message of hope and restoration which has not only captivated Biafran audiences fortunate enough to attend the events, but has permeated the subconscious of every black African and Japanese who came into contact with this message of redemption.”
