Nigeria’s superstar actress, Genevieve
Nnnaji has gushed over the selection of her film Lionheart
as Nigeria’s submission in the International Feature Film category of the 2020 Oscar
Awards.
It is the second major feat to be accomplished by
Nnaji’s Lionheart after it became the first Nigerian produced film to be purchased
by Netflix.
Celebrating the new feat on social media, Genevieve
said:
“The Nigerian Oscar Selection Committee has chosen
@lionheartthemovie to represent Nigeria for the 2020 Academy Award for Best
International Film! This is the first entry ever for Nigeria. It’s an honor to
