Budget: APC Praise Lawan, Gbajabiamila For Not Behaving Like Saraki, Dogora

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lauded the receipt of the 2020 budget by the National Assembly leadership praising them for now walking the way of their immediate past leadership which it claimed stifled the process.

While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for the presentation of the budget in October, the APC especially commended the duo of Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila for providing the required atmosphere for the presentation.

The stance of the APC conveyed by its national publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu was upon the belligerence that existed between the two arms of government in the past four years. In that time, Senator Bukola Saraki and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu were charged to court but were exempted.

“We congratulate the leaders of the two chambers of the 9th National Assembly, Senate President Ahmed Lawan and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for creating a convivial environment for the budget presentation exercise, a welcomed departure from the usual tensed and adversarial atmosphere of the previous four years.

“The Party is confident that the patriotic disposition of the leaders and members of the 9th National Assembly would ensure a cordial relationship with the executive arm, which would surely translate to good governance and proper implementation of the administration’s Next Level plans for Nigerians.”
