2023: Fani-Kayode Tackles Junaid Mohammed’s Preference For Tinubu Over Igbo Candidate
By Chuks Ekpeneru
Northern leader, Dr. Junaid Mohammed has been taken to task by former aviation minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode over his claim that he would prefer Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as successor to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 instead of an Ibo man or anyone else.
Responding to the claim made by Dr. Mohammed some few months ago, Fani-Kayode asserted that the South is determined to take power from the North and that once taken that the North will not be able to dictate political trends in the country.
Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, Dr. Mohammed had said:
”If Tinubu wants to be the President of Nigeria and he asks for my advice, I will say go ahead because I will rather have Tinubu as President than have some of the people in the South-East who are ambitious and want to blackmail Nigeria into ceding power to them”.
“I also know that he is better than Governor Kayode Fayemi who is also nursing presidential ambition”
Responding to him in a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode wrote:
“We prefer Tinubu to be President than Igbo man”- Junaid Mohammed.
“Who are you? Are you God? Or were you there the day the Ancient of Days laid the foundations of the earth and established the universe?
“Nothing lasts forever: not even northern tyranny, arrogance and occupation.
“Mark this: once we wrestle power from the core north it will not go back there for at least 50 years. People are fed up with Fulani hegemony and domination.
”If we remain one nation, the indigenous people of Nigeria and not alien invaders will rule Nigeria for the next 100 years.”
