Rivers Lawmaker Hails Wike’s S/Court Victory

Lawmaker and Deputy Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Honourable Major Jack, has hailed the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike, at the Apex Court.

The lawmaker, while speaking after the ruling in Port Harcourt on Friday, described the judgment of the Apex court as a landmark victory for the people of Rivers State.

He said “This is a victory long awaited. I have stated it many times before that the voice of Rivers people will always prevail.

“I want to congratulate our leader the Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for a victory well deserved. This is indeed another victory for Rivers people.”

Jack, commended the judiciary for upholding the rule of law, by striking out the suit filed by the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Mr. Biokpomabo Awara, who had asked the Supreme Court to declare him winner of the March 9 governorship election in Rivers State.

He further called on the people of the state and beyond, to support the governor Wike led administration in moving Rivers State foward.

“The Governor has proven himself worthy of our mandate. Now that we have nothing more to fight over, I call on all Rivers people and the good people of Nigeria to join Wike in building  the Rivers State of our dream,” Jack Added.
