Osinbajo Is A Loner In This Government -Afenifere

 The Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, has alleged that Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has been sidelined by the present All Progressives Congress, APC Federal Government.

Afenifere decried the situation that saw the President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, travel to London to present memos and bills to President Muhammadu Buhari. He said that that was indicative of the fact that Vice-President Osinbajo is practically inconsequential in the present government.

Afenifere spokesman, Yinka Odumakin recollected the situation in 2016, 2017 and 2018 when the president traveled and transmitted power to the Vice President contrary to the present situation that he travelled for 15 days on a private visit to London without transmitting power to Osinbajo.

 He said,  “This is evidence that Nigeria is now under one man’s rule. You can see that the National Assembly is a rubber stamp while the judiciary has been cowed. The Vice President is practically out and that is all part of the next level.”

Odumakin urged Osinbajo not to be carried away by the recent words of the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Farouk Umar, who commended the loyalty of the Vice President to President Buhari and described their relationship as unequalled in the history of the country.

“Those who think that the Emir of Daura passed a vote of confidence in Osinbajo should go find out the meaning of ‘Taqiya’”.
