With Major Chieftains Suspended, Orbih Mocks Edo APC As Party Of Suspended Development
By Chibuzo Sunday
Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chief Dan Orbih has mocked the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in the state as a party of suspended development on account of the mutterings in the party.
Speaking after a caucus meeting of the party in Benin on Friday, Orbih derided the crisis in the APC lamenting that with the crisis in the APC that governance has taken a back seat.
Orbih has also invited the new factional chairman of the APC in the state, Col. David Imuse, rtd. to a hands on training on party management.
Asked about the state of health of Edo PDP in the state, Orbih said:
“Edo PDP is intact. Well organized, focused and ready to reclaim Edo State. You will acknowledge that we are the only party that listens to the cries of Edo people. You can see that in this meeting, we have the state Deputy Chairman, State Secretary, 3 State Vice Men, members of the state working committee and Local government party chairmen.
“Unlike the APC where the National Chairman has been suspended. Governor Obaseki suspended. Phillip Shuaibu Suspended. Ogie Suspended. State Secretary of APC, Okah, Suspended. State Chairman of APC Anslem Ojezua, Suspended. Not to talk of the council chairmen under suspension. Very soon, they may even suspend those coming to join them!
“Edo people can now rightly describe APC as a party of Suspended Development !
“However, I welcome their new chairman Col. Imuse and invite him for a chat so I can offer him suggestions on crisis and man management bedeviling his sinking party.
“It is clear that a political party that cannot manage itself cannot manage the state. APC is a monumental failure and EDO state must distance itself from their incompetence, civil war, corruption, distrust and vendetta politics!
“As 2020 approaches, we must be able to hold accountable those responsible for the continuous breach of peace that pervades Edo state.”
