Edo APC Faction Accuses State Govt Of Importing Thugs To Harass Oshiomhole

The Comrade Adams Oshiomhole aligned executive of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Edo State has accused the Governor Godwin Obaseki led administration of importing thugs from neighbouring states to destabilise the state.

The factional chairman of the state chapter of the APC, Col. David Imuse in a statement made available to GreenWhiteGreen alleged that Comrade Oshiomhole was also a direct target of the alleged thugs.

He said:
“Our attention has been drawn to the presence of thugs imported into the state by the Edo State government with a view to unleash mayhem on innocent citizens of the state particularly leaders of the APC in the state. Some of those who has been marked for elimination includes the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, State Secretary of the party, Lawrence Okah, State chairman of the party, Col.Imuse, Henry Idahagbon,  Samson Osagie and many others.

“As part of efforts to execute their plots, weapons and machetes has been imported into the state and handed over to their thugs to attack any of the leaders opposed to the governor. 

“Anyone monitoring events at The APC Secretariat in the last one week will observe that armed thugs have taken over the state state secretariat of the APC on the orders of Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Philip Shuabu. Thugs have been camped in different LGAs with the orders to attack loyal members of the party where they are holding their meetings.

“Thugs are being mobilizing every day at the  Benin Airport where they were given instruction to attack the convoy of our national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole anytime he arrived Benin City. Their intention is to create panic amongst our members so they will not be able to hold their political meetings.

“The Edo State APC have decided to raise these concerns before security agents and the Inspector General of Police to call the governor and his deputy to order because no man’s ambition is bigger than the blood of any human being. We urge our members to remain vigilant and resolute. We will not be intimidated and will remain resolute in the affairs of our dear party.

“The Edo State government wants to create a chaotic situation in the state ahead the 2020 governorship election.

“But we will not join them in their mischief rather we will resist any attempt to cow our people into joining the opposition party, like the governor and his cohorts are planning. We will not fight back but let me also remind them that no body has monopoly of violence. Governor Obaseki and his deputy should take note.”
