Sources in Abuja told GreenWhiteGreen that the airline was on Wednesday morning managing the situation with passengers who were expected to travel with the same aircraft to London. The passengers were being briefed by ground staff of the airline a source revealed to this website.

The details of the briefing were yet to be made known and British Airways was as at press time yet to speak on the developing issue.

The last time that British Airways had a major accident was in 2008 when its aircraft coming from Beijing, China landed before touching the runway. About 45 persons were injured but there was no fatality in that incident.
