FIRS: Fani-Kayode Taunts Osinbajo, Tinubu
Opposition critic, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has taunted Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and All Progressives Congress, APC national leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu over the failure of Babatunde Fowler to get a second term as chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS.
Reacting to the appointment of a Northern chartered accountant, Muhammad Nami as Fowler’s replacement, Fani-Kayode said that the pair of Tinubu and Osinbajo had been scammed into betraying their people in support of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The accusation apparently flows from the well reported claim of Fowler being appointed on the recommendation of either or both of Tinubu and Osinbajo.
“Finally Fowler of FIRS is out and, just as I predicted, he has been replaced by a northern Muslim,” Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation wrote on twitter.
“When will Tinubu and Osinbajo finally accept that they were outflanked, outmanouvered, fooled and scammed into betraying their own people by the Fulani cabal. More to come!”
However, Fani-Kayode’s assertion was received with mixed assertion on twitter with some endorsing his claim and others criticizing it on the claim that Nami was also qualified for the position.
