Kidnap Gang Leader Tied Up To Die In Forest By Cheated Members
Poetic justice caught up with the leader of a kidnap gang in Delta State after members of his gang tied him up in the bush and allowed him to die after he reportedly cheated them in a N5 million loot they made from a kidnap job.
The kidnappers made up mostly security guards working in Delta State confessed to have tied up their leader, Raymond (Surname withheld) and abandoned him to die in a bush near Obiaruku.
Iweh (surname withheld) and Emmanuel (surname withheld) were arrested by operatives of Inspector General of Police, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) who were searching for Raymond, who worked as a private security guard but had been implicated in many kidnappings in the area.
He was allegedly the head of the kidnap gang that abducted a former finance officer of the Delta State University and they reportedly made N5 million from the deed.
The two men apprehended said that Raymond, however, ran away with the money. They were said to have lured him to participate in another kidnap operation in the bush near Obiaruku but when he arrived he was tied up and allowed to die alone in the bush.
