Once again, the gargantuan Manchester derby will take place on Tuesday night with Old Trafford. This time, it is the Semi-finals first leg of the Carabao Cup.

The Last time these two sides met, Manchester United mesmerized Manchester City at the Etihad in the English Premier League. Marcus Rashford converted from the penalty spot after winning the penalty by himself. Anthony Martial’s splendid strike surprisingly beat Ederson in the near post.

A consolation goal scored by Nicolas Otamendi was all that Manchester City could offer. Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t really lived up to expectations so far this season and the outcome of this game is unlikely. Manchester United might have to manage to play without Harry Maguire who sustained an injury against Wolves. So he is a major doubt for the game.

Manchester City have adjusted to the new style playing without Aymeric Laporte due to injury. Kevin De Bruyne has been hard to stop this season. The Belgian has scored seven goals and provided twelve assists this season. He will be one of the players to be wary of.

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford has been paddling the boat of the Red Devils this season, his twelve goals and four assists have helped Manchester United be positioned to challenge for a top-four spot this season and they are still in contention to win the Europa League and FA Cup.

This will be a perfect time for Pep Guardiola to kill two birds with one stone. He will be hoping to revenge and also get a win in order to retain the Carabao Cup trophy he won last season after defeating Chelsea on penalties in the final.
