Mambilla Hydro Power Project On Course – Power Minister

The minister of power, Eng Sale Mamman has urged Nigerians to support the Federal Government efforts to actualise its energy plans for the nation.

He stressed that President  Muhammadu Buhari is committed to making the Mambilla Hydro Power project a reality. According to him, there are no distractions as all hands are on deck.

In a statement signed by his media aide Emmanuel Bello, the minister noted that the efforts are already paying off as major stakeholders are keying into the vision of the administration. He said he has enjoyed tremendous support in the work he has undertaken.

On the Mambilla project, he said there was profound support from the Taraba State government, stressing that the state now even has a Ministry of Power as a demonstration of the seriousness.

He said, “after close to five decades, this is the first time some clear cut steps are taken to make that project a reality. This is historic on many fronts and the President needs to be commended for the political will to make the dream come true. We have already have collaborative meetings with all the stakeholders and our partners at the state.”

He stressed that for the first time survey works and compensation are in the works as fund has been released.

He said, “Nigerians shall not be kept in the dark so to speak about all that we are doing. We remain resolute and determined. Awareness program and continuous media briefing will take center stage.”
