A mouthwatering encounter comes up on Sunday as Manchester United take on Liverpool, the only unbeaten team in the English Premier League.

The last time both teams met, Adam Lalanna saved the Reds from the humiliation of experiencing defeat for the first time in the hands of their arch-rivals. He proved to be the super-sub in the match for the Reds. The game ended 1-1 as both teams were satisfied with the draw.

Liverpool have been brutal in the past five games. They defeated Jose Mourinho’s Spurs side in the last game and they have won five games in a row without conceding a goal.

The goalkeeping has been superb, the defense has been solid, the synergy in the midfield has been sensational and the attack has been sumptuous. They are in the form of their lives.

Nevertheless, Manchester United will be motivated to go for the kill in order to end Liverpool’s unbeaten record. Their incentive could come from the fact that they are the only team to have stopped Liverpool from winning.

The Red Devils just announced Harry Maguire as the new captain to replace Ashley Young. He will be hoping to lead his team to their first victory under his leadership as the club’s official captain.

Historically, Manchester United are one of the most respected teams in the world based on trophies and prestige. Their present squad which possesses the likes of Marcus Rashford, Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood have what it takes to hurt Liverpool on the counter attack. Juan Mata”s creativity and eye for goal cannot be underestimated as he provided an assist for Marcus Rashford against Norwich last weekend.

He also scored the only goal against Wolves in the FA CUP to send  Manchester United to the next round. Also, Anthony Martial scored his first Premier League goal against Liverpool back then in 2015 and history has a way of repeating itself in football.

Although, this blockbuster is likely to favor the reds , it won’t come as a huge surprise if Manchester United can achieve what every other team has been trying to attain for the past twenty three weeks in the English Premier League. The business is unfinished between these two big sides and Liverpool were lucky to walk away with a draw at Old Trafford.

This time, they might find themselves in an unfamiliar and unpleasant situation. The Red Devils definitely have the quality to win the game and the world witnessed when they triumphed over the defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad. It’s time to repeat the brilliant performance in the stadium of the incoming champions. No mission is impossible and upsets are part of the game. Let’s sit back, enjoy and witness what happens between two of the greatest football clubs in the world.
