A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Edo State, Charles Idahosa has cautioned party leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu that he would sooner than later be dumped by Adams Oshiomhole in his bid for the 2023 Presidential ticket.

Idahosa, a former commissioner political adviser to Oshiomhole as governor of Edo State nevertheless acknowledged that Tinubu remains one of the bigwigs in the APC still supporting Oshiomhole in office as national chairman of the party.

“I feel so sorry for Tinubu, the national leader of our party because he doesn’t know who Oshiomhole is. I am aware he is one of those giving Oshiomhole support. Oshiomhole will disappoint him seriously and he will not support his presidential ambition in 2023. I am giving Tinubu a cheque and he can take it to the bank,” Idahosa, a former close political associate of Oshiomhole’s said in an interview with Daily Independent.

“Oshiomhole will disappoint him because his ambition is to become Vice-President. Oshiomhole’s ambition is to pair a northern candidate against the interest of Tinubu. All the support Tinubu is giving him as national chairman because of his 2023 presidential ambition is just a waste of time and he will soon see things for himself,” he said.

Commenting on the leadership style of Oshiomhole, Idahosa said:

“I agree with the Salihu Mustapha that Oshiomhole can no longer function as the national chairman. They are just postponing the evil day because at the end of the day, any action by him or any action he takes now as national chairman is null and void because it is an illegality.

“He knows this but he is pretending not to know. I only feel sorry for the APC because of the legal implication in the future. Oshiomhole does not have the temperament to lead a political party.

“He can be leading textile workers on protests in the streets, we have nothing against that. He is unfit to lead a national party especially the different interest groups. No party chairman can last with that kind of attitude.”
