Man To Die For Killing His Four Children After Fight With Wife
A 53-year-old man, Saleh Magaji, has been convicted by a Kaduna court of killing four of his five children following a quarrel with his wife in November 2015.
Magaji was found by the court to have slaughtered his children out of anger following a midnight faceoff with his wife sometime in November 2015.
It was alleged that following the fight that Saleh’s wife fled the house and that he in anger locked up the four children aged one to six and slaughtered them.
Following the incident, Saleh also tried to kill himself but didn’t die.
The gory incident was discovered after one of the children who was not at home at that time returned to find the house locked up. He called upon community leaders who helped to find the gory incident and a report was made to the police.
Justice Darius H. Khobo who heard the case convicted Saleh on Monday on a five count charge of culpable homicide and sentenced him to die by hanging.
