Shehu Sani Released

The embattled former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Sani has been released after spending four weeks in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Sani was arrested and detained by the EFCC on December 31, 2019, over alleged name-dropping and extortion of $24,000 from the owner of ASD Motors.

However, the Federal High Court in Abuja had, on Monday, granted bail to the former senator in the sum of N10m, over two counts charge.
