Man Who Defiled 13 Year Old Girl During Night Vigil Blames Devil

The Ondo State police command has arrested a 38-year old man, Olamide Awogbayi who defiled a 13-year-old girl, Favour Babalola, who accompanied her parents to a vigil at a church in Akure, the Ondo state capital last weekend.

Awogbayi confessed to have lured the victim to an uncompleted building near the church, along Idanre Road.

Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Femi Joseph said the incident happened at about 11 pm last Saturday.

Joseph noted that the victim was declared missing by her parents and a search party found her in an uncompleted building unconscious.

The Police spokesperson disclosed that the victim described the physical appearance of the suspect when she gained consciousness, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

He was said to have confessed and blamed the devil for the incident.
