Bayelsa: Cheers, Jeers Follow Lyon’s Loss Of Governorship

DSP Omo Agege and other APC leaders were already at the airport to fly to Bayelsa for David Lyon’s inauguration. Hotels in Yenogoa all fully booked. In fact, my man Festus Keyamo who is already in Warri preparing to head to Yenogoa, boasted that Dickson would be arrested Monday.

Hearing that the Supreme Court has just ruled that the APC had no candidate in the Bayelsa election last year and the PDP candidate is to be sworn in tomorrow as the Governor.

Waiting for media to confirm with full reporting but it seems from my sources that Bayelsa is PDP.

Let's be clear:

Bayelsa does not compensate for the Injustice done to Imo State and Courts must be guided by the Constitution and not petty political sentiments.

Justice has been done in Bayelsa for anyone who followed the case, but it is no compensation for Imo State.

I am not happy at the development in Bayelsa, not one bit. Yes, the PDP is the biggest beneficiary of this judgement but I am pained that once more, the verdict of the people have been overturned by the courts, this time, rightly so. PDP was thrashed at the polls in Bayelsa.

When d S'Court sacked @OfficialPDPNig's Ihedioha in Imo for @OfficialAPCNg's Uzodinma, PDP said it was a "very sad commentary on the nation’s democratic order".

Now that d court has sacked APC for PDP in Bayelsa, is this another sad commentary?

I love how APC stans here are taking this Bayelsa Supreme Court judgment. No one is lampooning the SC or calling Chief Justice, Ibrahim Tanko unprintable names

That is the MAIN difference between the support base of both parties.
