Nigerian Footballer Contracts Contravirus
Italian Nigerian footballer, King Paul Akpan Udoh, has become the first footballer to be infected with coronavirus.
Udoh who plays for Serie C club Pianese was diagnosed with the virus on Thursday and is presently in quarantine.
The 22-year old player has played for several Italian clubsides including Juventus, Virtus Lanciano and Pontedera.
He has also played for Fernana, Fano and Viareggio before joining Pianese on July 14, 2019.
Coronavirus became an issue in Nigeria on Friday after it was announced that an Italian who recently arrived the country became the first patient in the country with the disease.
