Leaked Nude Video: Top Nigerian Actress Sues Ex-Lover

Top Nigerian actress, Maryam Booth, has sued her ex-lover, Ibrahim Rufai, popularly known as Deezell for allegedly leaking her nude video to the social media.

The three-second video showed the actress unclad and was widely shared on social media.

Maryam Booth’s lawsuit is a counter of the suit filed by Deezell, who had earlier claimed that the actress wrongly accused him.

Deezell, in February, sued her for false accusation and defamation of character.

The suit also contains a letter of complaint sent to the Inspector General of Police from the actress counsel.

Details of the suit were posted on her Instagram account, with the actress saying that the nude video has affected his acting career negatively.

Kannywood star wrote: “After due consultations with my lawyers I have finally taken the matter to court. My reputation has been tarnished beyond repair by this unfortunate incident and I hope and pray that I get my day in court. I will update all of you my fans and supporters as events unfold. I thank you immensely for your support and prayers during this trying times. God bless you all. She said on her official twitter account @officialmaryambooth
