APC: Despite Villa Visit, Oshiomhole Still Locked Out Of Office
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole was on Friday locked out of the national secretariat of the party as heavily armed security men kept vigil amidst intrigues over the leadership of the party.
Besides Oshiomhole, other party staff and visitors were locked out in apparent determination of the security men to give heed to the court judgment that earlier suspended the national chairman.
The presence of the security men was despite the national chairman’s visit to President Muhammadu Buhari where he explained himself and affirmed that only the National Working Committee, NWC could sanction him.
Besides, GreenWhiteGreen gathered that the Oshiomhole camp had also on Thursday reached out to the Inspector General of Police towards giving resolve to the Federal High Court, Kano judgment which sustained him as national chairman.
The Kano judgment had specifically directed the police and the Directorate of State Services to facilitate his resumption of office.
However, on Friday the security agents as at 4.00 p.m. were unyielding as they barred all persons from entering the secretariat.
Oshiomhole’s visit to the Villa on Thursday it was gathered was neutralized by a visit from a delegation of governors who apparently came to pitch their campaign against the resumption of office of the national chairman.
The continued siege of the security men was being interpreted as a possible bounce for the anti-Oshiomhole forces comprising of disparate political forces across the country who had reportedly teamed up with his political enemies at home to confront him.
