Oshiomhole Absent As Giadom Presides At APC NWC
Claims Ignorance Of Counter Court Order
The Acting National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Victor Giadom on Thursday reiterated the determination of the party to go ahead with next Tuesday’s meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC claiming ignorance of any court order stipulating attendance at the meeting.
He spoke after a meeting of the National Working Committee, NWC which held in the absence of the embattled national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Speaking to newsmen following the meeting, Giadom said that whenever he came in receipt of the court order that he would refer the orders to the party’s constitution.
“As NWC, we just had our meeting and this is just to inform the public that the NEC meeting scheduled for the 17th March will still hold and every preparation towards that meeting is in top gear. I want to use this opportunity to invite all NEC members to attend the meeting”.
Affirming that “every member of NEC is prepared to attend the meeting,” he claimed ignorance of any court order directed towards directing the presence of some individuals, particularly Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
When asked on how he would respond to such a court order Giadom said; “Not to my knowledge. We will like to see the court order and if that happens we refer back to our Constitution. We will take it up from that point.”
