Police Parade Nine Who Beheaded 82-Year-Old

The Police in Akwa Ibom State have paraded nine suspects arrested for allegedly beheading an 82-year-old woman identified as Cecilia Isong in her farm in Oku Abak

The state Commissioner of police Mr. Imohimi Edgal paraded the suspects on Thursday at the police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo alongside others suspects numbering over 100 arrested for others forms of crime.

He said the murder suspects were arrested last weekend about 7:20 am, following a tip-off that, “Cecilia Isong of Oku Abak, Abak Local  Government Area , aged 82 years went to the farm to harvest cassava in the company of her grandson, one Kingsley Emmanuel and, Kingsley took some harvested cassava to the house, on returning to the farm, he met the headless body of the said Cecilia Isong in the farm.

“Operatives of Abak Division in collaboration with the youth cordoned the farm where nine suspects including the principal suspect, Lucky Michael ‘m’ were arrested. During interrogation,  Lucky Michael confessed his involvement in the crime and led the detectives to his house where the deceased severed head was recovered.”
