Evangelist Blasted For Trolling Singer Mercy Chinwo
Nigerians have taken to the microblogging platform, Twitter, to react to the comments of an Evangelist, Victor Edet, who called out female gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo for dressing seductively.
Evangelist Victor Edet took to his Facebook page, to vent his opinion on how gospel singers should dress.
According to him, a true Christian should be decent in everything and should not be seductive.
The point that angered many social media users was the mentioning of Mercy Chinwo’s name on the post while accompanying it with the singer’s pictures which incidentally were rather conservative.
“You can’t be singing gospel songs and be seductive at the same time. A true Christian should decent not seductive, Mercy Chinwo Beware!!!,” the Evangelist wrote on his Facebook post.
When a screenshot of his Facebook post, appeared on Twitter, many Nigerians blasted the Evangelist for admiring the gospel singer with amoral lust, who they described as being a decent gospel singer.
