The Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lagos State, Mr. Seye Oladejo has stated that the Peoples’ Democratic Party, (PDP), is not a threat to the ruling party in Lagos, having not been able to prove its mettle in the last 20 years.

Recall that the former PDP Chairman in Lagos, Tunji Shelle, while reacting to recent squabble in the Lagos State House of Assembly, described APC as party in perpetual crisis.

However, Oladejo, in a quick response said the events in the House of Assembly did not amount to a crisis as some people were made to believe but disagreement on principles and fundamentals.

He commended the assembly members for their ability to expose the matter involving some members though they belong to the same political party.

The party he said does not intervene in the assembly affairs, underlining the party’s commitment to democracy in the running of the state. .

He urged PDP to work towards resolving its crisis which according to him has become a trademark of the party since the return of democracy in 1999.

“It’s a party in perpetual crisis, they quarrel over little things, most of their influential members have joined the APC.  The party lacks the capacity to dislodge APC from power.”
