Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said the noisome pestilence of the coronavirus pandemic will soon pass away but that claims that it will die away as said by some prophets is a lie.

Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), in a one-hour live broadcast, on Sunday, said he had a hint of God causing the world to abide by a compulsory holiday ahead of the 40 day fast embarked upon by the church at the beginning of the year.

He said the pandemic could be God’s way of asserting His position over the independence of men.

In his words, “even Satan could not touch Job with any ailment or tragedy until God gave him express permission. The coronavirus plague is God’s way of telling the world, He is still in control. It will certainly subside and go away ‘for a while’ and the world will recover.”

The coronavirus will certainly subside after God has removed the plague but to say it will die, let me speak in local parlance, ‘na lie’.”

He further stated that only God can remove the plague of Coronavirus, saying “I have heard one prophet say the coronavirus will soon die. And I said ‘amen’. You know prophets are greater than pastors.

“I heard another prophet say the world will experience rain for seven days and I said amen. But I am speaking with you my children. The coronavirus will certainly subside after God has removed the plague but to say it will die, let me speak in local parlance, ‘na lie’.”

He further urged Christians to put their trust in God for protection and provision, as no plague will near their dwelling.

“You can’t afford to be a Sunday Sunday Christian, not only at a time as this but the rest of your day,” he concluded

“You can’t afford to be a Sunday Sunday Christian, not only at a time as this but the rest of your day,” he concluded.
