COVID-19 Hits Southeast As Nigeria Totals 81 Cases

The Coronavirus pandemic crossed into Nigeria’s Southeast region on Friday after two positive cases in Enugu were confirmed among the 11 new positive cases by the National Centre for Disease Control.

The development brought the total positive cases in the country to 81 with three of the cases having been discharged and one mortality.

The NCDC in its tweet of the latest development stated thus:

11 new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 8 in Lagos, 2 in Enugu & 1 in Edo State

Lagos with the two eight new cases continued to have the lead among the states with 52 cases.
