The purported expulsion of Rep. Usman Bello Kumo, member of the House of Representatives, APC, Akko, Gombe Federal Constituency from the All Progressives Congress, APC has been dismissed as untenable by 20 Kumo East Ward executives of the party.

In a riposte, the executive members suspended the chairman of the ward, Musa Barade for six months for allegedly masterminding the move against the legislator.

APC Secretary Kumo East, Shu’aibu Adamu made this known on Thursday during a press briefing organized by the ward executives at the state party secretariat in Gombe.

Adamu said “Some unscrupulous elements in the party forged our signatures and purportedly expelled Usman Bello Kumo from the party. This was done without our knowledge.”

The secretary added that “for this damage of reputation and credibility, we therefore suspend Musa Barade as APC chairman Kumo East ward for six months with effect from today, 2nd of April, 2020.”

He said their support remains with Usman Bello Kumo as member representing Akko Federal constituency given their satisfaction with his style of representation.

He called on the public to disregard any story on expulsion of Usman Bello Kumo from the party, a story he described as baseless and untrue.

Similarly, Akko Local Government APC chairman Usman Ahmad Kumo, said some unscrupulous elements are trying to cause harvoc in the party, and they are ready to deal with them.

Ahmad Kumo added that their loyalty remains with the state party leader, the state governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
