Osun Spiral Takes Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases To 190

The COVID-19 pandemic worsened in Osun State on Friday after the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirmed six more cases in the state which brought the total number of cases in the country to 190.

All six new confirmed cases came from Osun State and most of them have been traced to returnees from Ivory Coast. The new confirmations brought the number of infected persons in Osun State to 20, the third in the country.

Meanwhile, the NCDC has said that no vaccine has been approved to check the coronavirus, the agent that causes the COVID-19 disease.

Giving an update on the latest COVID-19 situation in the country, the NCDC in a tweet said:

Meanwhile, the NCDC has said that there is no vaccine that has been approved to check the pandemic even as it said that it was working with its partners towards one.
