N5B Insurance For Lagos H/Workers, Volunteers

Six insurance companies have signed into a package to provide a N5 billion insurance scheme to cover Lagos State health care workers and volunteers involved in managing COVID-19 patients it was announced on Saturday.

The six insurance companies named in the deal are Leadway Assurance Company Limited, Custodian & Allied Insurance Plc, Lasaco Assurance Plc, AIICO Insurance Plc, Tangerine Life Insurance Limited and Ark Insurance Brokers Limited.

The six companies are to contribute the premium for the N5 billion insurance scheme to provide insurance cover for 1,000 health workers and volunteers involved in managing the COVID pandemic in the state.

Former member of the House of Representatives and business leader, Hon. HAB Fasinro of Fenchurch Group, GreenWhiteGreen gathered helped to package the deal.

The deal it was gathered would provide practical solution of providing medical, disability/incapacity and term life insurance cover for up to 1000 healthcare workers and volunteers who are in the front line in the fight against COVID-19 in Lagos State.
